Detergent compositions containing compounds of type N-pyridinol oxide

A detergent composition comprising: a. ferric iron; and b. a N-oxide compound of substituted or unsubstituted 2-pyridinol, a tautomer thereof or a salt thereof; wherein the detergent composition is practically free of bleach.
