Relations between link density and synchronizability in weighted scale-free networks

2010
Synchronizability of a class of weighted scale-free networks is investigated.A new measure of complex networks, link density,is proposed. The link density describes the quantity of links of networks.Furthermore, the relations among link density, heterogeneity and synchronizability in BBV(Barrat,Barthelemy,Vespignani) weighted scale-free networks are investigated by applying the synchronization criterion. The results show that, the larger the link density and the heterogeneity of network are,the better the synchronizability of type I weighted network is.However, the larger the link density is and the lower heterogeneity is,the better the synchronizability of type II weighted network is.The synchronization can be enhanced for both types networks by increasing the link density.
