A Synthesis of Homochiral 1, 5-Dialkyl-1, 5-Diamino-3-Oxapentanes

Abstract A synthesis of (R, R)- or (S, S)-1,5-dialkyl-1,5-diamino-3-oxapentanes from commercial 2-alkyl-2-aminoethanols, in a quantitative “one pot” process in the key step, is described.
