Co-simulation study on airflow field and dynamic electric field of high voltage SF 6 circuit breaker

In order to solve the problem of low calculation efficiency of the dynamic electric field of the arc extinguishing chamber, based on the commercial fluid simulation software, a joint simulation technology of air flow field and dynamic electric field is developed in this paper. The grid independence was verified by establishing a test model, and the results were compared with the classical electrostatic field calculation results. The results show that the joint simulation method of airflow field and dynamic electric field developed in this paper can accurately calculate the dynamic electric field of the arc extinguisher, greatly improve the calculation efficiency of the dynamic electric field, and establish a foundation and accumulate experience for the simulation and analysis of the electrical breakdown of the arc extinguisher after arc.
