Terahertz horn antenna for frequency domain material properties estimation

In this paper, a modified shaped horn antenna is proposed for material characterization. The horn is designed as an alternative to lens corrected horn for near-field focusing. The performance of the antenna is compared with similar lens corrected horn antenna applied to frequency domain material characterization. The antenna showed promising performances although on a rather narrow bandwidth (915–925GHz).
