El cambio organizacional : un proceso estratégico de adopción y adaptación

2013
Social agents (people, groups, organizations, societies) are exposed to the environment that surrounds them. The agent´s daily activities are influenced by multiple externalities that, in some way, complement and modify their behavior. This article focuses in the analysis of organizational change and the way of how organizations must be face the change in order to assimilate it in a proper manner. Organizational change could be understood as a constant and multi perspective strategic process of adoption and adaptation and, in this sense, the assimilation of change relies on how organizations manage these two processes (adoption and adaptation). The conceptualization of change as a constant process implies that organizations continuously face it, and as a consequence, organizations need to understand the nature of this process in order to face it properly. The process approach allows to study the causes and consequences of organizational change without separate it from its constituent elements, in other words, the process approach allows to study an event as a whole without separate it from its relations with other elements.
