Democracia en el país y en la casa. Reflexión y activismo feminista durante la dictadura de Pinochet (1973-1989)

Resumen: Durante la dictadura de Pinochet se desarrollo una nueva etapa del movimiento de mujeres impulsada por la falta de libertad, la represion y la crisis economica. La critica que articulo el movimiento de mujeres se dirigio tanto al sistema dictatorial como al de opresion patriarcal. Este contexto alento un activismo comprometido con la caida del regimen que opero desde una identidad femenina construida sobre la base de los intereses pero que no obviaba las diferencias entre las mujeres. Asi, las agrupaciones de derechos humanos, las pobladoras y las feministas se coordinaron creando estrategias de protesta y resistencia generizada que desde la calle y lo privado formulaba la nueva ciudadania femenina y exigieron el retorno de la democracia. Abstract: During Pinochet’s Dictatorship a new phase of women’s movement was developed, because of the lack of liberty, the state repression and the economical crisis. The critique of the women’s movement was towards the dictatorial system and the patriarchal oppression. This context allowed a compromised activism with the fall of the military regime, this activism operated from a female identity built over the community of interests but maintaining the differences between women. Therefore, human rights groups, shantytown’s women and feminists coordinated themselves creating strategies of protests and a gendered resistance in the street and at home.
