Isolation of An Isooctane-Degrading Bacterium and Study on Its Degradation Conditions

2011
A strain LSH01 which had the capability of degrading isooctane as sole carbon source was isolated from the polluted soil by oil from Daqing Oilfield. This strain LSH01 identified by biochemistry and physiology belonged to Bacillus. The growth curve was obtained and the effects of isooctane concentration, temperature,pH value and inoculum amount on the growth of LSH01 and the degradation of isooctane were investigated. The optimal temperature and pH value was 35℃ and 8.0,respectively.When 500 mg·L-1 of isooctane was degraded for 72 h with the inoculum amount of 15%,its degradation rate reached 74.9%.
