THE SELF-OSCILLATING INDUCTION MOTOR AS A TRAVERSE MECHANISM FOR CONE-WINDING MACHINES

1961
An account is given of the historical development of self-oscillating linear induction motors applied to traverse the yarn guide of cone-and cheese-winding machines. The limitations of the first experimental machines are discussed, and a description is given of recent developments designed to give improved performance.
