Influence of CaCl_2 Treatment on Lipid Peroxidation in Eggplant Seedlings

Influence of CaCl_2 on POD isozyme, POD activity, MAD content and permeability of plastic membrane were studied under 4 ℃ using eggplant seedling as materials. The results showed that CaCl_2 treatment could decrease MAD content and permeability of plastic membrane while it increased the POD activity. The POD activity among CaCl_2 treatments was 0mmol/L5mmol/L10mmol/L15mmol/L20(mmol/L) at 48 h and 72 h and the differences were notable. Furthermore CaCl_2 treatment could also induce POD isozyme expression.
