A search for a narrow meson with S = +1 and Q = +2 produced in K+p interactions at 13 GeV/c
1981
Abstract Data are presented from a high statistics K + p experiment designed to provide information on a possible exotic meson with a mass of 2.46 GeV/c 2 decaying into Λ δ ++ (1232) and Σ + (1385) p which has been reported by a previous experiment. With an equivalent beam flux of 13 events/nb, the present experiment does not confirm the existence of this state.
