Seismic Isolation Effect and Parametric Analysis of Multi-Span Continuous Bridges With Mild Steel Damping Bearings

2018
The traditional seismic isolation bearing has better damping effect on the multi-span continuous beam bridge, but the research on the isolation of the mild steel damping bearing is relatively less. After considering the advantages of ordinary basin rubber bearings and mild steel damping bearings, choose the appropriate bearing arrangement. The nonlinear time-history analysis method is used to study the isolation effect on a six-span continuous bridges with mild steel damper bearings, and parametric analysis of the isolation effect is carried out. The research results show that the mild steel damping bearing has good isolation effect, can fully exert the high bearing capacity of the movable basin support and the energy consumption characteristics of the elastic-plastic damper. In the case of meeting the requirements of use, it is recommended to select a mild steel damping bearing with a small friction coefficient and yield strength and a large yield stiffness to enhance the isolation effect of the bearing.
