Use of Nanostructured Polymer in the Delivery of Drugs for Cancer Therapy

Abstract In this chapter, the authors summarize highly advanced and effective approaches for the delivery of drugs for cancer therapy using polymeric vehicles. Fundamental aspects of various polymers as carriers are summarized in order to understand the possible merits and demerits within the field. The design and development of polymeric carriers and the release of bound drugs are explored in detail in order to understand the environmental stimuli. Highly suitable literature in support of this theory is reported and discussed.
