Specific Industrial Respiratory Carcinogens

The evidence concerning an etiologic role in the induction of cancers of the respiratory organs is a great deal more reliable, definite, and comprehensive, on the other hand, for a number of specific occupational respiratory carcinogens. Many of them are, moreover, introduced into the general atmosphere in the form of industrial and industry-related effluents and enter the home environment in the form of consumer goods and economic poisons (Table 5).
