Molecular characterizations of a isolated from chicken H6N1 subtype avian influenza virus.

2010
The H6N1 subtype of avian influenza virus (AIV) CK/ZJ/80/08 (H6N1) was isolated from a chicken during an epidemiological survillence in 2008. In this study, the full genome of AIV CK/ZJ/80/08 was sequenced and analyzed. The results showed that the CK/ZJ/80/08 strain had a HA cleavage site of QIETR ↓ GLF,which is a characteristic structure of low pathogenesis AIV. The HA gene sequence was closely related to A/duck/Hokkaido/228/2003 (H6N8),A/mallard/Heilongjiang/ 131/2006 (H6N2) and A/chicken/HongKong/17/77 (H6N1). The NA genes of CK/ZJ/80/08,A/duck/Tsukuba/718/2005 (H1N1) and A/Goose/Guangdong/1/96 (H5N1) shared the same phylogenetic lineage. The M gene had the highest homology with that of A/duck/ Hokkaido/W90/2007 (H10N7),and NS genes of CK/ZJ/80/08,A/duck/Denmark/65047/04 (H5N2) and A/Goose/Guangdong/1/96 (H5N1) also shared same lineage. The NP,PA,PB1 and PB2 of CK/ZJ/80/08 was closely related to that of H5N2 subtype AIV isolated from Jiangxi province. These data showed that CK/ZJ/80/08 was possibly a reassortant virus derived from H6N2,H1N1,H10N7 and H5N2 subtypes AIV.
