A medical system (1) having at least - a medical device (2) comprising an isolating transformer (4) and a power input (12) for connection to a supply network, - a supply unit (3, 9), comprising a power input (13) to be removably connected for connection to a supply network being formed, the supply unit (3, 9), with the medical device (2) and the medical device (2) to provide uninterrupted electrical power, - a switching device (7, 8) with the isolating transformer (4) and the medical device (2) is at least indirectly connected and formed, optionally the medical device (2) or the supply unit (3, 9) via the isolating transformer (4 to connect) with an electric supply network.
