Missing data in clinical trials

There is a need to plan an appropriate statistical analysis of missing data for researchers working in clinical trials in HIV. Based on it, the main objectives of this thesis are: - Review the different typologies of missing data in clinical trials in HIV. - Explore the most important methods used to handle missing data, describe the advantages and disadvanteges, apply some of these methods to the Lluta Fundacio' study and implement in the R environment one of the new approaches. - Generate some guidelines that should be followed by researchers working in clinical trials (in particular in the Lluita Fundacio') and give some recommendation when it would be better to use a method instead of another according to the estimates and confidence intervals.
