THE MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTER,TAXONOMY AND KARYOTYPE OF OXYELEOTRIS LINEOLATUS

An experiment was conducted to assess the morphological characters and taxology of Oxyeleotris lineolatus introduced from Fiyzroy River of Australia in 1996.Meanwhile,karyotype of Oxyeleotris lineolatus acclimated in pond after several generations was also analyzed by abdominal cavity injection with PHA and clochicine in this paper.The results indicated that Oxyeleotris lineolatus and Oxyeleotris marmoratus had the closest phylogenetic relationships and were supported as monophyletic groups.This studies finished the phylogenetic position of Oxyeleotris lineolatus and Oxyeleotris marmoratus,supported the traditional taxonomy separated from Eleotris,and testified correct in cytology.The experiments showed it was possible of these two Odontobutis in interspecific hybridization and intergeneric crossing between Eleotris,Bostrichthys,Odontobutis.
