The invention relates to a testing method for quantifying the sintering property of flow guiding sand, belonging to the technical field of flow guiding sand throwing for a ladle upper nozzle. The testing method comprises the steps of: adding a temporary binding agent accounting for 1-10% by weight of the flow guiding sand into the flow guiding sand; adding running water accounting for 2-10% by weight of the flow guiding sand; mixing and stirring to bond the flow guiding sand; pressing the bonded flow guiding sand into a bar-type testing sample by using a press machine at a pressure of 1000-5000N; naturally drying the bar-type testing sample for 12-24 hours at a room temperature; drying for 8-12 hours in a drying oven; roasting in the high temperature furnace; cooling the roasted testing sample in the furnace to the room temperature; and taking the cooled testing sample out to test the breaking strength which is used for representing the sintering property of the flow guiding sand. The testing method for quantifying the sintering property of the flow guiding sand has the advantage of realizing the quantifying of the sintering property of the flow guiding sand; therefore, whether the flow guiding sand can be crushed or not under the static pressure of molten steel and whether the automatic opening can be realized or not can be rapidly judged.
