Multi-objective Optimal Scheduling of Power Systems Based on Complementary Characteristics of Heterogeneous Energy Sources

2020
The rapid development of modern society and economy demands on huge electric energies, resulting in an increasing consumption on fossil fuels, and the deterioration of ecological environment. As an alternative, renewable energies such as wind energy, solar energy and water energy have entered more widely into power generation industry. Because wind power and photovoltaic power have the characteristics of randomness, intermittence, volatihty and reverse peak regulation, the massive abandonment of wind power and photovoltaic power and the massive waste of natural resources wm be inevitable. In this point of view, the complementary characteristics of various heterogeneous energy sources, such as wind, solar, hydroelectricity and thermoelectricity, are firstly analyzed; the wind-solar consumption and system power generation cost are then investigated comprehensively; and a multi-objective power system optimal dispatch model based on the complementary characteristics of the heterogeneous energy sources is finally estabhshed. Also, a regional power grid is used as a case study for the proposed methodology to vahdate its feasibihty.
