The activated carbon fiber cotton is prepared by using a method comprising the following steps: adding the predetermined ratio of powdery activated carbon to spinning size; spraying by a spinneret plate after fully dissolving, extruding and filtering, wherein the adding amount of the powdery activated carbon in each 100g of spinning size is 45-50g; the spinning size comprises wooden slurry and a polyacrylonitrile solvent; the content of the wooden slurry is 15-20%; the content of the polyacrylonitrile solvent is 80-85%. Due to the adoption of the manner, the dissolving capacity of a spinning solution and the adsorption capacity of the activated carbon can be enhanced, the spinning speed is improved, meanwhile, and the physical and mechanical properties of the fiber cotton are improved, so that the absorption efficiency is permanent, the solvent can be recovered, the activated carbon fiber cotton is green and environment-friendly, the energy is saved, and the cost is reduced.
