Research on the ORB Adaptive Concurrency Strategy in Distributed PACS

The single concurrency model in common CORBA ORB can not be applied to the complex context environment of distributed PACS. Based on a research of the ORB multiple concurrency model and PACS application services, this paper presents an adaptive concurrency strategy suitable for distributed PACS. The strategy can select the single-threaded or multi-threaded concurrency model adaptively during runtime. Moreover, the design of a protocol handler based on active objects can simplify the synchronized access to multi-threaded concurrency objects. The strategy satisfies the high throughput and low latency of QoS demands in distributed PACS.
