The suspension arm actuator for a scanning device

2006
The invention relates to a suspension arm actuator for a scanning optical means having a swing arm designed as a two-armed lever which is pivotally mounted between the lever arms about an axis perpendicular to this axis. A lever arm bears a scanning head end and comprises a hinge region, preferably an elastically bendable portion, for movement of the scanning head in focusing direction perpendicular to the pivoting plane of the swinging arm on. The other lever arm is provided with a component of a magnetic drive for a pivoting movement about the axis. In addition, the suspension arm actuator comprises a magnetic drive for moving the optical head in the focusing direction. In this way, the swing arm is designed so that its bearing the scanning arm is easily performed without further functional elements and therefore reduced weight. For this purpose, the magnetic drive for the movement of the optical head (3) in the focusing direction is assigned to the lever arm (II) having a component (4) of the magnetic drive for the pivoting movement about the axis (SA). The coils of the magnetic drives are particularly useful as printed coils (4 and 5) is executed.
