Speed Smooth Control for Brushless DC Machine under Cogging Torque Pollution Conditions

This paper presents a novel speed vibration suppression control of BLDC under cogging torque. Cogging torque is unmeasurable and has become one of the unavoidable shortages that of BLDC machine and it results in the speed/torque vibration on the rotational shaft. It is difficult to eliminate the BLDC cogging torque from machine design optimization. Repetitive control based compensation is proposed to overcome the BLDC machine cogging torque. The control algorithm is analyzed in this paper and it is verified by the simulation results.
