Sex Pheromone of the Fall Armyworm Moth: Isolation, Identification, and Synthesis

The sex pheromone of the female fall armyworm. Spodoptera furgiperda (J. E. Smith), was isolated and identified as cis -9-tetradecen-1-ol acetate. The chemical structure was verified by synthesis.
