Allergen-reducing composition

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composition for reducing an allergen that does not cause discoloration and is safe and has low toxicity and to provide a processing agent for reducing an allergen which can be suitably used for producing a fiber or a fiber product having the capability of reducing an allergen. SOLUTION: The composition for reducing an allergen comprising a hydroxyproline derivative, a polymer thereof or salts thereof can reduce the allergenicity of allergens such as dust mites, pollens and the like and impart the function of reducing the allergenicity to a fiber or a fiber product such as a carpet, "tatami" (Japanese mat), a bedding, a curtain, a clothing, a stuffed toy, a mask, a filter material, a dust collecting bag for a vacuum cleaner or the like without causing discoloration.
