Design for Flexible Passive Power Filter

Flexible passive power filter design for eliminating harmonics is presented,which is based on passive power filter and converse-paralleled thyristor as filter switch-on or switch-off.Frequency spectrum analysis and the crossing point of voltage are adopted to control the corresponding filter branch switch.The flexible passive power filter has the advantages of simple structure,convenient operation,low price,easy maintenance.Moreover,it has particular advantages of high stability,strong selectivity,low probability for resonation with system and no vibration at the point of switch-on.Simulation showed that this flexible passive power filter is capable of filtering harmonics.
