Treatment of Aqueous Organic Wastes by Molecular Oxygen at High Temperature and Pressure: Wet Air Oxidation Process

1997
Aqueous wastes containing organic pollutants can be efficiently treated through wet air oxidation (WAO), i.e. oxidation by molecular oxygen in the liquid phase, under high temperature and pressure. The process is well designed for wastes fairly concentrated (10 ultrafiltration, can also be treated by this method.
