Some basic concepts in building : their multidisciplinary character

Four groups of concepts are reviewed: (i) requirements and performance criteria; (ii) quality assurance; (iii) human errors and technological risk; and (iv) liability and technical insurance. Due to their fundamental character the indicated concepts have a large influence on the evolution of the building industry
