Oil Pollution Effects on Different Types of Soil Rape Growth

2016
By rape pot experiment, rape response of three-type soils in Shandong Province to incorporation of oily sludge was studied. Rape biomass and physiologic indices included yield, chlorophyll content, POD, NR activity, root vigor and cell membrane permeability. The results showed that effects of oil-pollution on rape were varied with different soil types. The effect of petroleum hydrocarbon on rape growth in brown soil was lightest. The ability to repair for oily sludge was stronger in brown soil. Rape growth was best and yield was highest. Effects on rape growth were varied with petroleum hydrocarbon content. Petroleum hydrocarbon could promote rape growth when the consistency was 500 mg/kg. It increased rape yield. But when the petroleum hydrocarbon consistency > 500 mg/kg, the harm of rape was more serious. It was shown that rape yield was decreased. Chlorophyll content and root activity and NR activity reduced gradually with the increase of petroleum hydrocarbon consistency. Cell permeability and POD activity increased rapidly with the increase of petroleum hydrocarbon consistency.
