A process for producing trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, which comprises: (A) 1,1,1,3,3-pentafluoropropane dehydrofluorinated thereby obtaining a result that includes cis-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene, trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene and hydrogen fluoride, ; (B) optionally wins hydrogen fluoride from the result of step (a) and (C) trans-1,3,3,3-tetrafluoropropene wins.
