The invention relates to a method for producing mineral wool by using high-temperature blast furnace slag and high-temperature power plant slag. The method is characterized by comprising the following steps: putting high-temperature liquid blast furnace slag from an iron and steel making blast furnace and high-temperature liquid power plant slag from a power plant in a smelter; raising the temperature of the slag and tempering the slag in the smelter to reach components required by a mineral wool product and a melt temperature (higher than 1400 DEG C) required by a high speed centrifuge; and then feeding the high-temperature melt into a high speed centrifugation wool making machine to prepare the mineral wool. By directly using the high-temperature blast furnace slag and the high-temperature power plant slag, the high-temperature blast furnace slag and the high-temperature power plant slag directly enter into a mineral wool production process, so that the sensible heat of the high-temperature blast furnace slag and the high-temperature power plant slag in an iron and steel plant is fully utilized, and therefore, the efficiency of a mineral wool production process is improved, the energy consumption of the mineral wool production process is saved and the slag resource in the iron and steel plant is further comprehensively utilized.
