Chemical Constituents of Opuntia milpa Alta Haw

Ten compounds were isolated from the n-butanol extracts of the Opuntia milpa Alta Haw.They were identified by chemical and spectral analysis as 4-hydroxybenzoic acid(1),β-hydroxypropiovanillone(2), 2,3,4-trihydroxypentanoicacid(3),4-methoxy cinnamic acid(4),3-hydroxy-4-methoxycinnamic acid(5), 5-hydroxyferulic acid(6),4-hydroxycinnamic acid(7),protocatechuic acid(8),n-butyl eucomate(9),and eucomic acid(10).Compounds 2-10 were isolated from Opuntia milpa Alta Haw for the first time.
