Development of National R&D Information Navigation System Based on Information Filtering and Visualization

ThispaperaimstodeveloptheNationalR&DInformationNavigationSystem(NRnDINS)thatis convenientandeasytousebytheresearchersonthebasisofinformationfilteringandvisualizationby convergingandintegratingthethreetypesofthecontents,namely,paper,reportandprojectatthestage ofdevelopmentoftheinformationsystem.Aninformationsystemisdevelopedbyestablishingontology andRDFonthethreetypesofcontents,andbyapplyinginformationfilteringandsemanticsearch technologyafterhavingcreatedtheprototypeforthescreenbyreflectingtheuserneedsanalysisand informationvisualizationelementssurveyedatthepreviousstageofinformationserviceplanning.Inthis paper,tomakethemeasureforinformationfiltering,R&Dnavigationindexisproposedandimplemented, andNRnDINScapableofintegratedsearchoftheR&Dcontentsthroughinformationvisualizationis developed.Also,forthetestingofthedevelopedsystem,thepreferencesurveyforitsdesignby100 personsandusabilitytestofthesystemby10usersareperformed.Theresultofthesurveyonthe preferenceforthedesignisaffirmativewith85%ofthesubjectsfindingitfavorableandthecomposite receptivityisgoodwiththescoreof87.2astheresultsoftheusabilitytest.However,itwasalsofound thatfurtherdevelopmentofthepersonalizationfunctionsisneeded.ItishopedthattheR&Dnavigation indexoftheproposedandimplementedinthispaperwouldpresentquantitativeobjectivityandwillinduce furtherdevelopmentofotherinformationfilteringindexofcontentsinthefuture.
