Double layers printed WOLEDs based on multicomponent illuminants with high performance

2020
Due to high material utilization and large-scale producibility, inkjet printing OLEDs has generated significant interests from the scientific community and industry. For the first time, the double layers printed WOLEDs based on multicomponent illuminants was design and fabricated in this work. As a result, the binary WOLEDs based on Firpic and Ir(bt)2acac as dopants, reached the maximum current efficiency (CEmax) of 17.5 cd/A and the maximum luminance (Lmax) 15320 cd/m2. The ternary WOLEDs based on Firpic, Ir(bt)2acac or Ir(mppy)3 and RD01 as dopants, exhibited CEmax of 7.9 versus 2.9cd/A, and Lmax of 9587 versus 6752cd/m2, respectively. Accompany with the multicomponent illuminants increased from binary to ternary, the corresponding color rendering index is enhanced from 60 to 75.
