[Dynamics and structure of developing wolf population under anthropogenic pressure: features and patterns].

2007
The impact of hunting pressure on the main indices of wolf population in the phase of growth was studied. The resistance of the intrapopulation adaptations to anthropogenic impact is demonstrated. It is of importance that family territories become flexible in a developing population, which favors active formation of new families and spatial compression of wolf population. Analysis of the available field and published data indicates a two-stage pattern of the population growth phase and a synchronous transition of wolf populations to this phase.
