An EPR study of the transformation of chalcopyrite under the influence of the chain-reaction oxidations of methane or hydrogen

The desulfurization of a copper sulfide concentrate, chalcopyrite, under the conditions of the gas-phase, chain-reaction oxidation of methane or hydrogen, was studied by means of EPR. It is shown that the process progresses with the participation of sulfur-containing radicals.
