Modern Technologies of Horizontal Wells Survey: Comparison of the Effectiveness of Methods, Technologies and Approaches

2019
Summary Marker technologies for determining well flow profiles are made based on quantum reporter markers located in the polymer shell of the proppant or in the granulate used in the production liner. The data obtained with the dynamics of changes in the flow profile over time allows us to optimize the grid of the wells during field development. A marking agent containing quantum dots can be applied both to the proppant (in the case of multiple hydraulic fracturing) and integrated into cemented and non-cemented liners, for multibranch wells according to all TAML classifications. The marker research method for building well flow profiles based on markers has several advantages over traditional logging and allows solving the following tasks: • Building an inflow profile in wells with cemented and non-cemented liners without fracturing. • Create an inflow profile in wells with multiple hydraulic fracturing. • Determine the contribution of each zone or wellbore (in multibranch wells) to water and hydrocarbons. • Identification of high water cut formations. • Localization of remaining oil in the reservoir. • Increased oil recovery factor. • Further development of fields, considering the uneven use of oil in the reservoir.
