When flexural forces are applied to the composite beam, the bottom of concrete member is stretched by tensile force and the upper part of the steel member bar is reduced by compressive force. Thus, in the interface of the two members, a horizontal shear force occurs in which the two members will slide, and the role of the shear connector to obtain resistance to it is very important. In this study, the method of connecting the shear connectors with the flange of steel beam by firing driving pins with the gunpowder was developed. To evaluate the structural performance of the connection method proposed, the test for beam-column joints and FE analysis were performed. Based on the results of the experiment and analysis, it is deemed that the proposed connection method will provide sufficient ductility and strength.
