Deiktische Lokal- und Direktionaladverbien in einem mittelbairischen Dialekt

This investigation aims at giving an account of the system of adverbs of location and direction, in particular the deictic ones, in a Central Bavarian dialect. As a first step, the simple adverbs and prepositions are assembled and their morphological and semantic features described. The morphological and semantic characteristics of their combination with the Central Bavarian equivalents of the deictic extensions her, hin and da are the listed. The emerging systems show gaps, and the present article attempts to give semantic and phonological reasons for these gaps. Furthermore, it is indicated how these systems have changed as a result of the retreat of dialect in recent decades
