Method development to determine the presence and amount of sulfonamide group presence in unknown elastomer mixtures.

2017
The chemical characterization of elastomeric products has an important place in reverse engineering studies. Determination of an unknown elastomer composition can be advanced to a certain point by means of thermal analysis techniques, which is one of the methods used in the determination of the composition. Elastomer types and amounts, organic filler amounts, process facilitators amounts and inorganic substance quantities can be determined. This information will help you determine the masterbatch formulation of the blend. The subject which is not clear but important here is the vulcanization system and the determination of the vulcanization system requires different techniques. In this project, we will try to analyze '' 4- (2-benzothiazolylthio) morpholine '' in an unknown elastomer formulation with GC / MS-Pyrolise apparatus using extraction method. In this regard, a method has been developed to identify the sulfonamide group from the organic accelerator groups in the elastomer formulation.
