Diffuse Ionized Gas Halos Seen with HST

In order to better characterize the morphology and to determine physical parameters of possible outflows from star-forming galactic disks we have observed four edge-on galaxies with HST/ACS in Hα. Here we present first results for two of these objects, namely NGC 4364 and NGC 7090.
