The transformation of the iron-containing components of brown coal in the process of spontaneous combustion
1984
The formation of a metallic phase in the steaming zone of a spontaneously heating heap of brown coal has been shown for the first time by nuclear gamma resonance spectroscopy. In the modeling of the low-temperature redox processes under laboratory conditions, samples have been obtained which are identical in phase composition with the iron-containing components of coals from the steaming zone.
