The article analyses the formation and development of systems of cyber education in the security and defence sector of the leading countries of the world and Ukraine. It was determined that, in higher education establishments of the security and defence sector of Ukraine, formation of students’ competences in the field of cyber security is not sufficiently presented in the education standards. It is proved that, under the current conditions, knowledge of cyber security for the students should be formed within a framework of basic courses for all fields of study, specialities and specializations. This issue needs to be constantly updated, in line with the changes and developments taking place in this area. In order to systematize and improve training in the field of cyber security in the security and defence sector of Ukraine, the authors proposed an option for specialist training in the field of defence cyber security in higher education establishments of the security and defence sector of Ukraine. An integral, consistent, interconnected and continuous training system on cyber security and cyber defence at the tactical, operational and strategic levels of training as well as the learning content for its implementation are proposed and practically tested.
