La Ciclosporina en el tratamiento de la oftalmopatía tiroidea
1990
We present three cases of chronic ophthalmopathy by Graves-Basedow illness, treated
with cyclosporin by oral conduct in small doseso The results obtained were satisfactory, we
managed an obvious reduction of the exophthalmos, objectivable by the T AC and the
exophtalmetry.
The tolerance of this medicament has been
acceptable in every moment. We stand out
the fact that the beginning of the recovery in
the symptoms was produced after about two
months treatment, in every case.
We discuss the action mechanism of the
cyclosporin versus that of the corticosteroids
in the choosing of therapeutic for these cases
of chronic ophthalmopathy.
