Research on the rotary-linear motion magnetic gear based on ANSYS

In this paper, the structure, features and operating principles of the rotational-linear magnetic drive gear based on the principles of the linear motor are analyzed. Using finite element analysis software ANSYS, 2-D and 3-D equivalent model on the overall structure of are established. Through model analysis, the design size of magnetic gear, its performance parameters are discussed. The curves of each parameter and the magnetic force, including the magnetic pole arc, the air gap thickness and tooth thickness are plotted. Considering the processing level of practical engineering, the magnetic gear structure is optimized. The simulation experiment on optimized structure verifies the feasibility of the improved structure.
