Screen brightness adjustment method

The embodiment of the invention discloses a screen brightness adjustment method. The method comprises the following steps: receiving a wakeup instruction of a terminal screen; responding to the wakeup instruction and acquiring brightness of the environment where the terminal is positioned and the brightness of the terminal screen; calculating a ratio of the brightness of the environment where the terminal is positioned to the brightness of the terminal screen; judging whether the ratio is greater than a preset brightness ratio, improving the brightness of a preset region of the terminal screen if the ratio is greater than the preset brightness ratio, and outputting a brightness adjustment control in the preset region, wherein the brightness adjustment control is used for adjusting the brightness of the terminal screen. By using the method, the preset region of the screen can be locally lighted up when the brightness of the external environment is far higher than the brightness of a mobile phone screen; the brightness adjustment control is provided in the preset region, a user can adjust the screen brightness.
