Laparoscopic cholecystectomy without abdominal scar by transumbilical single port access

【Objective】To discuss the feasibility and application value of laparoscopic cholecystectomy without abdominal scar by transumbilical single port access. 【Methods】The clinical data of 15 patients performed by tran-sumbilical single port laparoscopic cholecystectomy were retrospectively analyzed. 【Results】All the operations of scarless laparoscopic cholecystectomy were successfully performed. The operation time was 35～80 min,and mean operation time was (45±5) min. All patients recovered rapidly with no complications and slight pain without obvious abdominal scar. The patients were discharged from hospital in one to three days after operation.【Conclusion】Tran-sumbilical single port laparoscopic cholecystectomy is safe and feasible with cosmetic results.
