the research. The phosphorescent pigments are special pigments that glow in the dark after exposure to light. The aim of the research was to determine the length of the luminescent activity of phosphorescent pigments in the dark after exposure to light. Water- and oil- repellent fi nishing, fi reproof fi nishing, a combination of water- and oil-repellent and fi reproof fi nishing, crea se resistant fi nishing and anti-microbe fi nishing were applied to the samples printed with phosphorescent pigments in order to determine their infl uence on the luminescent activity of the pigments. The fabric was printed solely with phosphorescent pigments, and with phosphorescent pigments in combination with fl uorescent and classic colour pigments. A laboratory fl at-screen printing machine was used for printing. The colour values of dried and fi xed samples were measured and tested for light fastness, fastness to washing, and fastness to sweat and rubbing. The samples were exposed to illumination in a light chamber. The luminescent activity in the dark after the removal of the light source was captured with the help of professionally taken photographs.
