Rehabilitation management in acute stroke

2020
Recommendations that rehabilitation begins 'as soon as possible’ or 'early’ are common in clinical guidelines. However, on closer inspection, it is evident that there is little clear consensus about the optimal time to start, optimal dose, and content. The initial rehabilitation evaluation meeting should be held within 48 hours when acute stroke patients are stabilized. Based on the results of the overall assessment and dysfunction assessment, individualized and comprehensive rehabilitation plan should be made, and the prognosis of stroke rehabilitation should be determined. Early motor, dysphagia and aphasia rehabilitation should be carried out in acute stroke. More attention should be paid to individualized assessment and rehabilitation programs for severe stroke, elderly and children patients. Key words: Stroke; Rehabilitation; Early
